Extra bits and one-offs
If something new comes up that sits outside your monthly package, I will always flag it and give you a simple fixed price before I begin. No surprises, no open tabs.
Project Based Pricing
For larger pieces of work such as show guides, festival campaigns, event graphics, publications and awards materials, a fixed project fee is the clearest and most efficient way to work together. This keeps everything simple and predictable from the start.
With a fixed fee you know exactly what is included, and I can plan the work properly so nothing feels rushed or chaotic.
How Project Pricing Works
1. We define the scope
We start by agreeing on what needs to be delivered. This can include anything from a full signage suite to a multi-page guide, a set of digital assets, theatre graphics, awards pieces or a full event package.
2. I prepare a fixed fee
Once the scope is clear, I prepare a single project fee that covers everything in the list. No hour tracking. No hidden costs. No counting minutes.
3. A clear amend stage
Every project includes a structured round of amends. This keeps the work moving and ensures you have space to refine things without the worry of unexpected costs.
4. Anything new is added separately
If an extra piece of work is needed that is not in the agreed scope, I will always flag it first and give you a simple fixed price before I begin. This keeps the process calm and avoids surprises.
5. Timelines and content freeze points
Larger projects run more smoothly when we set clear timelines. A content freeze date is agreed so the design phase can stay focused. This avoids projects stretching longer than they need to.
Why Fixed Fees Work Well
Clear and predictable
One price for the full scope makes it easy to budget and removes the uncertainty of time-based billing.
Better for complex work
Creative and production work for events, festivals and publications is not measured in hours. It involves planning, typesetting, layout structure, colour management, multiple export formats and careful quality control.
Space for proper design
When the fee is fixed, you never need to worry about using up time or running out of support. You get a calm, structured design process that produces better work.
No unexpected costs
Anything outside the agreed list is always flagged first. Nothing is added without your approval.

How I Work
I like things to feel calm, structured and predictable. Once we agree a scope, I keep the work flowing so you can focus on running your programme, event or organisation. I do not charge by the hour for most project work because design is not measured in minutes. It is measured in clarity, consistency and outcomes.
